Usher Board – Hospitality Ministry

The Usher Board is the group of members who welcome people to Good News Community Church and assure that services flow smoothly and in order. The Usher Board seeks people to serve who are:

* Faithful to service. An usher must be willing and able to serve on a regular basis. If an usher is scheduled for service, he or she must be there.

* Welcoming to all. An usher must make all who attend service welcome – the young and old, the rich and poor, gay or straight, and whatever color and ethnicity. Good News welcomes all of God’s people and the ushers must reflect that welcoming spirit.

* Attentive to details. The ushers provide background services that ensure services flow smoothly. Ushers hand out bulletins, light candles, make sure the pastor’s water glass if full and a myriad of background, but very essential, tasks are fulfilled.
